Community Symposium on the Iraq War

This week on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7pm, there will be a Community Symposium on the Iraq War, a panel debate on the Iraq War at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Indiana. Students, community leaders, etc. will be on the panel; Free & Open to the public; Audience participation encouraged.

Prior to the Symposium will be a viewing of the National Guard Exhibit "Eyes Wide Shut".

Hosted by the Social Justice Club of PUC and the NW Indiana Coalition Against Iraq War.
This week, the Social Justice Club of Purdue University Calumet in partnership with the NW Indiana Coalition Against the Iraq War cordially invites the public to the Community Symposium on the Iraq War, a panel debate including students and community leaders discussing issues pertaining to the war in Iraq.


The Community Symposium on the Iraq War will take place this week on Thursday, Nov. 17th at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall, located on the third floor of the Student Union/Library Building (SULB).

At 6 pm in Alumni Hall, immediately preceding the Symposium, there will be a viewing of American Friends Service Committee’s National Guard Exhibit “Eyes Wide Open.”


It is the aim of our organizations to provide our community with a platform for discussion of pertinent issues relating to the Iraq War and Occupation, including the war’s justifications and its impact on the community.

Directions from Chicago: Take I-94 East, exit Indianapolis Blvd. North. Pass the light. The next light is 173rd, make a right here. The next light(just a block down)is the Purdue entrance, make a left here. Alumni Hall is inside of the SUL building, straight ahead.
