Ringling Bros. Protest, 11/15 at United Center at 5:30

Hi Friend,

CONGRATULATIONS! We had an amazing show of support for our protest on Nov. 2, with over 100 activists holding posters and chanting, "Ringling Bros., go away! Animal abuse is NOT OK!" Thank you for coming out to the protest. If you missed last week's event, fret not, because you can join us on Tuesday, November 15, at 5:30 p.m. at the United Center to show Chicago that we won't tolerate animal abuse and that we support kindness to elephants. It would be great if you could come out to help us speak up for animals!

Meet us on November 15 at 5:30 p.m. sharp at the United Center, 1901 W. Madison, on Madison near Damen.

And be sure to bring all your friends.

Once again, it's imperative that we have a strong presence at Ringling Bros.' opening night in Chicago to show massive public support for the Elephant Protection Ordinance, which is pending in Chicago's City Council. If passed, this ordinance will completely ban the use of bullhooks, electric shock devices, and chaining, which are all used by circuses to force elephants to perform uncomfortable, painful, and confusing acts through terrifying violence and intimidation. We hope that you will be a part of these groundbreaking efforts.

Please contact me if you have any questions about this protest. And please cross-post this message, the Web site, and the video clip to others who may be interested in joining this important campaign to end the abuse of animals in circuses! You may be interested to know that efforts from caring people like you are really paying off—in recent years, three circuses have retired their elephant acts!
