Open University of the Left will be showing the documentary "Life and Debt" Thursday, December 1, at 7 PM. This is a feature-length documentary addressing the impact of current globalization policies and organizations such as the IMF and the World Bank on developing countries such as Jamaica. The focus ia on the everyday realities of individual Jamaicans struggling to survive as the economic agendas of the United States and other countries are imposed on them.

The screening is at Acme Arts Complex, 1741 N. Western at St. Paul. $5 donation if you have it; more if you're willing; no one turned away. Street parking is available on either side of Western as well as on nearby side streets.
