As the South Side of Chicago celebrates the victory of the White Sox, commanded by Venezuelan Manager Oswaldo "Ozzie" Guillen, the Chicago South Side Venezuela Solidarity Commitee invites you to hear Martin Sanchez, Consul General of Venezuela in Chicago, speak about the social and economic transformations underway in Venezuela under the leadership of Hugo Chávez, and about Venezuela's offer to help poor Chicagoans with cheap oil-based products.

Also, African American activist Vera Wigglesworth will speak on "Venezuela and African American Liberation", and how the country is providing wonderful examples of working peoples' political power and self-organization.
