Demonstrate at Colombus Day Parade

DePaul Students Against the War is joining others to call for a renewal of annual protests at the Columbus Day Parade. In years past, indigenous and Latino groups have organized counter-events, while progressive Italians have gone in anti-Columbus contingents to counter the celebration of Genocide & Empire. Progressive Italians who are nevertheless proud of their heritage are encouraged to bring their flags, and we also encourage people to bring their anti-war signs and bring their messages against Empire anywhere in the world, from Haiti to Palestine to the Philippines to South Dakota.
Join the Urraca Anti-Imperialist Bloc at this year's Columbus Day Parade!
Monday, October 10
We will arrive at 10am and stay until the Parade of Genocide and Empire ends!
We tentatively plan to meet at Jackson & Columbus on the West Side of the street.
Also, we encourage you to save some energy to visit Arlington Heights on October 15 to protest the Project Minuteman day of events! And drop by DePaul for Ward Churchill's speech later that week.
