Singer songwriter Rocco has a mission. To get a million more people riding scooters. Not only will it save you money but it's alot of fun as well.

"Scooters are the way of the future! " Because it saves a ton on gas and it's fun! " Rocco said

Rocco who hails from the same town as Ashanti and spent two years recording his debut masterpiece "A Walk with Rocco " ( Pagliacci Records 2003 ) in the studio that Alicia Keys now owns wants the rest of the world to know how great it is to ride a scooter.

A little over a year ago Rocco ordered his scooter online at Superduperscooters.com with free shipping. In that time Rocco has put on 4 thousand miles and laughs to himself everytime he goes to his local gas station about once a week to go fill his tank that gets a hundred miles per gallon. " I spend about 3 bucks a week on Gas. " Rocco said

Rocco just started a scooter club in his area called The North Shore Scooter Club.
Rocco hopes that one day millions and millions more people will buy a scooter and start saving thousands a year on gas." People who buy scooters are special people. They know what they want. Get rid of your gas guzzling dirty SUVs and get yourself a scooter." said Rocco.

Rocco always has music on board provided by his Weltron vintage 8 track space helmet radio. Rocco has also decorated his scooter with many stickers he came by. " I plan on releasing my second album "For A DAY" on 8 track. I also spin records more than I do CDS. There is something more human about records that I have not been able to find in CDS. " Rocco Said.

Rocco also has the coolest liscence plate from Vermont. Rocco had to get a Vermont plate because NY DMV would'nt recognize Rocco's bike as an approved vehicle. So Rocco checked out the internet and Searched Google " How to get a liscense plate in another state ". "Vermont DMV were very good to work with. Now there are a crop of scooter enthusiasts with Vermont plates in Glen Cove." Rocco said.

There have been some bumps in Roccos road. Agressive motorists who like to ride right up Roccos back plate. Rocco pulls over and lets them pass." There have been some kids who like to cheer and that's always welcome but you get the occassional rock thrower" said Rocco.

On patriotic days Rocco likes to fly old glory from the back of his bike. It's a magnificent site. " When we had a Tornado on my street here in Glen Cove I flew the flag on the back to show all the news crews that we Americans can take anything thrown at us. That's what makes us who we are. " Rocco said.

Other cool accessories Rocco likes to use are his trusty acoustic guitar slung on the side. Rocco also makes sure hes got a rain coat handy in the trunk. Rocco keeps a huge blanket in the trunk to use as well. " You never know when your going to have a picnic ". Rocco said.

Rocco also produced and directed a music video featuring himself riding through some very scenic spots here on the North Shore featuring the song from his debut called "Return of the Jade Idols". It can be viewed at www.Pagliaccirecords.com. The song was also chosen out of 11,000 worldwide contestants as one of 5 of the best pieces to use Theremin By MOOG ETHERWAVE THEREMIN Festival in Asheville, North Carolina where Rocco spent the beginning of August meeting with the greatest theremin players in the world and discussing future prospects with his new found friends at MOOG .

Rocco has also had the best of sports cars. Rocco turned in his 2000 limited edition BMW M Coupe Roadster "Only 250 made" Rocco said, So that he could record his debut that cost him $50,000 to make. "Everything I had I sold all of my instruments and gigged heavily from 2001 to 2003. It was well worth it. Rocco recently started a hunger strike that lasted a week to raise awareness for hunger. THE FORWARD, A highly respected New York Jewish Newspaper interviewed Rocco and printed a story on Rocco.
Also from Rocco's debut, Rocco's song "September sadness", has had more than 25,000 downloads on a german music website www.besonic.com. Also Roccos song "Gardens of Imagination was used for the dedication of the Childrens garden at The National Holocaust Museum in April 2003. Rocco has also sung leads in Operas and has appeared in movies and a music video with Angelina Jolie and Mick Jagger called "Has anybody seen my baby". Rocco recently got one of his songs in a hollywood movie . The song is called "Just you and me baby".

Rocco plans on releasing his second album, FOR A DAY under his own label, Pagliacci Records, in the fall of 2005 and will continue to spread the good word on Scooters to whom ever will listen.
