Support Kruesi 2 at Trial! Oppose repression of CTA Activists!
Two activists were arrested at an April 9 protest against the CTA service cuts and fair increases.
On April 9, protesters came together to protest the proposed Service Cuts, Fare Increases and Job Eliminations of the Chicago Transit Authority. With all of the local television news stations in tow, the activists complied with police demands to prevent arrests, but

Giuseppe were unlawfully arrested.

Tuesday, August 2nd, they will have a trial. The City of Chicago decided not to drop the charges on Giuseppe due to multiple prior court supervision rulings, and is asking for the maximum sentence: six months in Cook County Jail. At the end of the week, Giuseppe is planning on taking a trip to Venezuela for the World Youth Festival and then to Panam� to visit family and continue political and journalistic work for a few weeks. Cliff is currently studying nursing in order to change careers from carpentry after being all-but-blacklisted for his rank-and-file opposition activities.
