Grassroots Activism in Venezuela

A talk by Dozthor Zurlent, a Venezuelan grassroots activist and former
Chicago resident. Dozthor will present his documentary: THE HOUSE ON
THIRD STREET. It talks about the struggle of the San Agustin of the
South community in Caracas to rescue an old, abandoned theater to create
space for the community and for cultural, social and political
interaction.

Along with Dozthor, Kellie Germond, local activist and professor of
sociology will discuss gentrification issues in Rogers Park.
