The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is proposing fare increases and/or service cuts to deal with inadequate funding from the state legislature. A decision will be made on April 13 and will go into effect in July of 2005.

There will be a public hearing at 4 p.m. April 7 at the CTA headquarters, 567 W. Lake St. (by the Clinton-Green Line stop).

Please voice your concerns by calling or emailing the CTA by April 8.
