Arne Duncan flees angry truth screamers
Arne Duncan you can't hide
You and Daley are on Bush's side.
Note the very good article on the Feb. 8 Senn High meeting, elsewhere on this newswire. But Duncan got an unpleasant surprise when he left that building.
Before we get to the good part, a few comments on the whole Senn. situation. Note the meeting article saying that the "Bad"(her words) meeting space on Broadway was better than Senn. Smith andthe other military academy supporters have been outrageous in their attacks on almost everything about this school. The only answer the Daley, Duncan, Bush types have is military discipline. The direct racist, clacist implication is that non-white inner city kids are going to rob, rape and loot Chicago unless an asshole in a uniform verbally and sometimes physically abuses them. The white upper class must deligate control over the inferior lower classes to bullies and thugs in silly uniforms.
This is all the Bush/ruling class agenda for public education. Privatize, get them used to obeying big corporations, teaching business values and ideals. Militarize, discipline is really: Blind obedience, total submission and a fanatical form of patriotism that will support all these damn wars they have lined up. Attacks on all unions, in particular those connected with schools, targeting teachers unions.
We heard that Duncan was leaving early Tuesday, so four of us left early to meet him on the way out. He stopped to talk to a woman between two sets of doors. An outiide door was open . We bagan chanting as loud as we could. "Arne Duncan you support the Bush education agenda" "demiltarize the Schools" "Save Senn" "No Blood for Oil" amongst others.
He talked to the woman for about 5 minutes. After a couple minutes a park district slug closed the outside door but we are sure he could still hear us. He left the building we got right next to him screaming the same words all the way to his limo. A great time was had. Lets do the same thing to this asshole as often as possible.
