Fifty years have passed since Emmett Till was murdered in Mississippi for whistling at a white woman, and today, lynching is supposed to be a thing of the past. However, since 1976 there have been nearly 1000 executions in the United States. This state-sponsored murder is nothing short of legal lynching. Come to this forum during Black History Month to join in a discussion about legal lynching then and now with Reverend Calvin Morris of the Community Renewal Society and a call-in from a prisoner who will participate in the discussion via telephone hook-up. Sponsored by the Campaign to End the Death Penalty.
