Protest Killer-Coke at DePaul U.

protest Coca-cola represenatives at DePaul for their role in the murders of trade unionists in Colombia.
DePaul University's Activist Student Union will be having a protest against coca-cola at

12:30 pm this
weds feb 9 at

DePaul's loop campus,
1 E. Jackson.

We feel that this is one of the more important protests we have organized because coca-cola representatives will be meeting with official reps from the University at that day at the time.

The coke reps will be denying coca-cola's involvement in the murders of nine trade unionists at coca-cola bottling plants in Colombia.

The University reps however will be demanding that Coke allow and cooperate with an independent investigation of it's bottling plants, or that DePaul will cut the contract with Coke.

ASU feels that this is an important time to mobilize students, faculty and our allies, because we need to put pressure on the University as much as we need to put it on Coke, so that the University will actually stand against coke.

If we play our cards right, the events of this protest and meeting could result in DePaul University, the largest Catholic University in the US with 23,000 enrolled students, to divest from Coca-Cola as a result of coke's violent actions in crushing unions in Colombia.
