AN URGENT CALL TO ACTION!!!

A “Key” to PEACE
(An ambitious idea to bring an end to the war in Iraq)

We’re writing to you with extreme urgency!! A call to action!! Time is short!! We need YOUR help!! We have been writing letters, demonstrating in the streets, participating in die-ins, holding peace vigils, educating the public, and yet the occupation of Iraq continues. We have an idea!! A UNIFIED MESSAGE to all Reps and Senators that screams--End This War Now!! We propose sending ONE MILLION “Keys” (yes, physical keys) to Congress with a message like this:

Here is Your Key to PEACE
Bring Our Troops Home!!
Keep Them Home!!
NO MORE WARS

How can we unite all segments of the pro-peace community (Labor, Environmentalists, Students, Minorities, Veterans, Soldiers, Peace & Justice, GLBT, Civil Libertarians, Faith Based, etc.)?? By getting ALL groups involved in a campaign to flood congress with ONE MILLION keys (yes, physical keys) before the 2nd anniversary of the invasion, March 19th.

This action is VERY simple. All people need to do is send 3 real keys (2 Senators and their Rep) with this message or one of their own. In order to make this happen (ONE MILLION KEYS) we need EVERY individual and organization reaching out to their members, list-serves, family, friends, etc. We are sending this idea to every organization that we can think of--large and small. WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!! We can flood congress with “Keys to Peace.” This is a GREAT idea. The anniversary of the Iraq travesty looms before us….let our UNIFIED VOICE be heard!! Please help make this happen!! Using whatever means you desire--RUN WITH THIS IDEA!! FOR PEACE and UNITY!!

(Name of Representative); U.S. House of Representatives; Washington D.C. 20515
