Our Burma interest group invites you to screenings of VCDs picked up on our September Study-Trip to the Thai-Burma Border where we met with Burmese democracy and human rights activists living in exile in Thailand. Videos are made by indigenous grassroots organizations, covering issues like education, forced labor, political prisoners, guerilla health workers, and internal displacement. Beginning Thursday, January 20. 6 PM every other Thursday night @ Harper Building, room 130, U of C campus, 59th Street between University and Ellis Avenues.
