Rory Donnelly’s Suggestion for Picketing Next Week . . .

Here is my suggestion for picketing next week.

Monday, Dec 6th:  Picket With Your Family Day.  Our families are part of this strike too; they're supporting us now and will benefit from the gains we get when we settle.  Invite your family members: sisters, brothers, spouses, partners, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, children over the age of 12 -- to join you on the picket line sometime on Monday, December 6th in solidarity, whether it be before work, on a lunch break, after school, or after work.

Tuesday Dec 7th:  Picket With a Friend Day.  Invite your friends to join us on the picket line.

Wednesday, Dec 8th:  Picket With your Students day.  Send students an update on our progress (or lack of it) and invite them to join us on Wednesday December 8th on the
picket line.

If the leadership has agreed to this, you can cut and paste this into an e-mail .  It will have more punch if it comes from the leadership than from me:  and you can also publicize it through the daily updates.

A Clarification from Ed . . .
To clarify, it is good to ask people to join us on the picket line. It is not a good idea to have young children on the picket line. Remember the Strike HQ is small and if there is a large crowd of people trying to use it for the washroom or whatever, it is going to cause problems. If you have people picketing with you, try to pick out a place to have a bite to eat and use the washroom there. The HQ gets overburdened very quickly. Saturday is a good day for a family since it is a slower day.
