Environmental organizations will be collaborting with the 2004 Crop Walk connecting issues of hunger to the environment. A bridge gapped by the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangari Maathai who says, "The quality of the environment cannot be improved until and unless the living conditions of ordinary people are improved." Come to UIC Campus at 750 S. Halsted at 3pm to be apart of this historical event. We will meet in the quad then position people to spell out "Keep It Wild" and "Stop Hunger" with their bodies.
