According to local organizer Fred Hampton Jr., a close friend of Aaron Patterson who has been working on solidarity with the activist since his arrest in August, Patterson's arraignment court date, originally set for Friday, October 9, tomorrow, has been moved up to Tuesday, October 19.

Patterson, who was arrested August 5th on drug charges and had been denied bail at a hearing August 11th, is to be arraigned at the 219 South Dearborn Federal Building that Tuesday, and supporters are asked to attend the 9:30am hearing, although the courtroom is yet to be announced.

The week that Patterson's arraignment date was originally set for, it was said that the date had changed to October 12th and the Aaron Patterson Defense Committee hotline confirmed this change. At the Aaron Patterson Celebration Day event on October 9th at the Beth-El All Nations Church, Hampton announced that the day had again been changed as of Friday to October 19th. A call to the New Black Panther Party's Brother Ephraim, as well as a discussion with Hampton's mother confirmed the change to October 19th, although the Defense Committee hotline hadn't been updated at the time of this writing.
