S4SJ has several people on the ground at this point working as medics, legal aids, and independent reporters and videographers. Several others that had been giving us reports have been arrested. This combined with the chaotic nature of the situation that erupted on the ground have made detailed reports harder to come by. More will be posted when we receive it.

As far as we know at least 2, perhaps more, Chicagoans were arrested during the concluding rally of the Poor People's March.
The police had been trailing, corraling and splitting up portions of the march for much of it's duration in an obvious divide and conquer strategy. The police then set up barricades around the entire rally and were not permitting people to leave. When some protesters began jumping over the barricades in order to leave the cops rushed them and began attacking and arresting them. The ensuing actions on the part of the police caused the crowd to panic and the situation broke down from that point on. We have reports of police just picking people out of the crowd at random, intentional profiling of people of color and people that "looked like anarchists", using tear gas and then arresting people who were wearing gas-masks, encroaching on the crowd with bikes and horses, and at some point an undercover cop drove a scoorter right into the march itself.
Yes folks, this is what a police state looks like!
