Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb will debate fellow Texan, Libertarian presidential candidate Michael Badnarik, Tuesday, August 31, at 7 p.m., at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church (formerly known as St Raphael's Church), 502 West 41st Street, in Manhattan. Constitution Party presidential candidate Michael Peroutka is tentatively expected to participate in the debate. John Kerry, George Bush and Ralph Nader have been invited to debate though none of these candidates have accepted the invitation at this point.

The debate will be moderated by Rob Richie, Executive Director of the Center for Voting and Democracy, and Walter Kane, a reporter for Channel 12 News.

A press conference featuring the debate participants will be held outside the debate location at 6 p.m.

This is the first time during the 2004 election that presidential candidates from different parties will face off in a debate. Cobb will also participate in a debate to be held on October 6, at Cornell University, among candidates from a number of different parties.
