Robert Bernstein, Jeremy Hammond, and Neal Rysdahl (The Halsted 3) are three queer and pro-queer anarchists facing false felony charges of aggravated battery against police officers stemming from an altercation that occurred at the Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade. The incident occured when the Republican "Family Values" Congressional candidate for the 4th District Anthony Lopez-Cisneros fraudulently invaded the Pride Parade with a contingent of homophobic religious fundamentalists who marched two blocks in the Pride Parade before being confronted by the Queer Anarchist Contingent (organized by the Queer and Trans Caucus of the Chicagoland Anarchist Network). The police showed their true colors by beating and arresting queer and pro-queer anarchists on the 35th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion. None of the homophobic anti-gay thugs were arrested.
