With troops deployed in more than 40 countries around the world, and with the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan taking a heavy toll on these already strained resources, the military must continually find ways to replenish it's ever depleting ranks of enlisted personnel. The flip side of this reality is that the military is out of necessity becoming more visible and proactive in their efforts to recruit the nation's youth into a life of servitude, exploitation and eventual use as cannon fodder for future wars of aggression.

The city alone will spend more than $20 MILLION on the “Military Commercial” billing it as “family entertainment” but the reality is that the Air & Water Show (Aug 21-22) is nothing more than a display of military muscle and a celebration of the "might makes right" philosophy".

Possible actions (nothing set in stone) at the Air & Water Show include:
- street theater, die-ins and other creative actions
- leafletting in front of recruiters tents
- press conference
- signs, banners, puppets
- "other" stuff
