Sunday, July 18 - The Nation's First Disability Pride Parade! Come to Chicago’s Museum Campus and be part of history in the making! Participation is FREE (there are no registration fees), and you don't have to have a disability to participate. We welcome all our sisters and brothers with disabilities (including disabled soldiers coming home from the war), our family members, and allies who believe that disability is a natural and beautiful part of human diversity that people with disabilities can take pride in!
The theme of the 2004 Inaugural Parade is "Unified In Pride." Parade Line-Up is at 11 am on Solidarity Drive just west of the Adler Planetarium. Parade Step-Off is at noon and we will march/roll west on Solidarity Drive and then south on Museum Campus Drive. Post-Parade Celebration is from 1 - 4 pm at Stadium Green (which is at the corner of Museum Campus and Waldron Drive - the southeast corner of Soldier Field).
