KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
OR LIFE IN THE PSEUDO (MONEY) ECONOMY

Rostock. Every time when the voter eligibility certificates stream into the house, I know the election campaign is here.

The election campaign was announced weeks ago. Election commercials run for which the TV is not responsible. What a pity! When one hears the parties, they all seem to refuse responsibility and are only interested in preserving their power, not in any particular project of doing something for our country and its people. Instead off-the-cuff election programs predominate and the negative side of the competition is stressed. Thanks be to God, comparative advertising is allowed.

That everything will be better was suggested to the people for decades. Schroeder’s SPD thinks the CDU under Kohl is to blame for everything and people only need to tighten their belts. At the same time, there is astonishment that the population is weary of politics. Who can endure this political Punch and Judy show in the Bundestag? Pseudo-debates in which unimportant things are discussed and charges of incompetence are heard on all sides. The media are not weary of drumming their worldview into our heads.

Is everything only a means for pulling the wool over the people’s eyes, bringing the people in line and enforcing political conformity? Governing would certainly be simpler if everyone thinks and knows the same thing. Such a people would be easier to govern. Our youth who cannot read or write let alone count, thanks to the terrible German educational policy is a good example of setting “the ox before the plow” as in the emperor’s time.

The fashion industry seems to join this near-conspiracy since our youth see almost everything the same where the most current fashion is uniformed and tanned. The medical industry in (skin) cancer treatment always has something to do. One must be an ear doctor because of the loud discothèques.

But be comforted, sometime the measure will be full. Some time or other, the people know who to vote for… Which is good? I leave that to the reader. May the best win…
