Chicago Police get more stun guns
June 29, 2004 — Chicago Police will soon have 200 stun guns.

Police started with six tasers in the fall and have used them twice since then. Police say they now have 160 stun guns and are expecting more in coming weeks. The estimated cost is 150,000 dollars.

In a time of budget crisis, why are the CPD getting more guns to zap us with? This is on top of their purchase of a new viritually useless segeway(failed motorized scooters) fleet at 3000 dollars a pop for the upper class officers to patrol on.
