Grand Rapids, a dismal city of maybe 300,000 where alternative or radical ideas have long been driven underground, serious alternative media blocked, and public access to the Internet highly controlled (i.e. only the central branch of the municipal library allows access to the Internet, after one gives one's name--without an i.d. check). To note: all college libraries, including Grand Valley State University (which receieves tax money to run itself) deny taxpayers any use. G.R.'s Community College allows use with extensive info including I.D. check, for $10 per semester. Beyond that, no authentically alternative media exists (beyond a fledgling IMC project now underway--which will surely promise only superficial Leftist analysis as usual--i.e. no demystification of the consistent way in which the System fools, manipulates, and tools its trusting resources).

So it was with more added flair than usual that a charismatic "crucial artist" dared past his fears to hike at least 12 miles for more than 6 hours, decked out in WILD "fancy dance" regalia, be-masked with a tripped out with a hand-made dog-wolf spirit mask (even the Indians were tripping out), passing out "depth charges" to all who dared not flee.
