The Group of Eight, arguably the eight most powerful countries in the world including Britain, Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Canada, Russia, and the US Empire, has again decided to avert protesters and hold its annual meeting on what could be considered for us to be hostile territory. This year, June 8th to the 10th, the eight head of state and members of their cabinets will be meeting in coastal Georgia, on Sea Island where Emperor George I used to take foreign dignitaries.

And both the state of Georgia and the federal government have spared no expense in their intimidation tactics. Towns from the 15-thousand person Brunswick to Savannah have enacted repressive ordinances, and the Secret Service and Department of Homeland Security is leading the strategizing. Besides this, Georgia is out of the way for a great majority of the US activist communities, which are strongest out West, in the MidWest or in the Northeast.

Last year, the G-8 did a very similar tactic when meeting off the coast of France. What were European activists' solutions? To have hundreds of autonomous actions in many cities and towns around the region, from Zurich to Nice. In the United States, many have made the same plans.

A call has been made for Global Days of Action against Empire during the Summit in Georgia, USA June 8-10. In Brunswick and Savannah, protests, carnavals, and other events will show a creative resistance that is not afraid to be local and not afraid to be militant. In the San Francisco Bay, where the Biotech industry has bizarrely planned to have their convention to coincide with the G8, there are many calls-to-action to protest both institutions of imperialism, exploitation and earth devastation. In London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin and Ottawa protests will commence as well. Chicago must join this call-up.

We are the Partisan Resistance of Chicago, calling on activists from around the city to carry out autonomous and creative actions of any sort, and to anonymously publicize the events afterwards. Our action is our message of solidarity to the downtrodden around the globe. Empire is learning the wrath of the Wretched of the Earth. Heed the Call!
