I would like to take a moment and thank all who were able to take time from their busy schedule and come to the Chicago IMC Chili Dinner Party.

We were able to raise a good amount of funds to support myself in joining a Christian Peacemaker delegation to Iraq in September.

It was also a good time to bring folks together and be inspired by the community which we have created. I am thankful to be a part of it.

I especially want to thank the special people who helped make it happen, Dorina, who tirelessly helped cook chili and pushed me when i was completely zonked. Alloy for his van and helping hands. Paz and Tracy who came early to cut vegetables, help load, and other things. Neil and Paz who did door, my sister Gail and our friend John, who came in from DeKalb with freshbaked cookies and helping hands. I can and probably should go on, I am thankful to all my little mind is forgetting, especially those who were able to give from their pockets.

Through out this summer I will continue to photograph the many peace events. June 5th brings a march in DC, the Republocrat conventions in NYC and Boston, as well as the many events here in Chicago that have begun formulation in Saturday's Consulta.

p.s. CPT Update: Two members of Christian Peacemaker Teams are returning to Iraq, with support from insisting Iraqi friends (despite possible dangers of associating with foreigners). CPT is also considering moving it's base of operations to Najef, which is the holiest city to the Muslim faith.
