Protest actions at the University of Chicago in Hyde Park have been taking place throughout the day, March 4.

Some 40 participants took part in the UC's Weapons of Mass Destruction Scavenger Hunt. Some participants were wearing inspector-related orange and white jumpsuits. My guess is that they didn't find any weapons (imagine that!)

At noon, some 50 activists and members of the SEIU union local 73 took part in a rally, in front of Cobb Hall on campus, on behalf of labor and students' rights. Among the issues voiced included universal health care in the state of Illinois, student and nurses' current organizing for better wages and lower costs, and students' concerns for funds to be used for education instead of war.
