ALBANY PARK DAY LABORERS RESPOND TO
PRESIDENT BUSH�S TEMPORARY WORKER PROPOSAL

Join Immigrant Day Laborers from Chicago�s Albany Park neighborhood and their allies as they publicly respond to presidents Bush�s Temporary Worker proposal. If passed by Congress, this proposal would require undocumented immigrant workers to apply for a three year temporary work visa with an employer sponsor, making the worker dependent on their employer for immigration status. Employers would be required to notify the Department of Homeland Security if the worker leaves their job for any reason. Also, workers would be required to return to their home country after their visa expires.

In addition, the Day Laborers will provide information on efforts to establish a democratic workers center.

Unete a los Jornaleros de Albany Park y a sus aliados mientras le dan una respuesta a la propuesta de �trabajadores inmigrantes temporales� del presidente Bush; que de ser aprobada por el Congreso �sta propuesta le exigir�a a los inmigrantes indocumentados solicitar un permiso de trabajo temporal de tres a�os amparado por su empleador permanente, creando una situaci�n en la que el estatus migratorio del trabajador depende de su patr�n.

Adem�s los Jornaleros extenderan infomaci�n acerca de como establecer un centro de trabajores democr�ticos.
