Candlelight Vigil for Global Peace 2003

i know numerous rallies have taken place this year, and this event organized by the Young Koreans United of chicago will seek for commitment of peace and justice in the year to come. this is an announcement about a candle light vigil that's taking place in chicago-at the legion park
Join us as we call for an end to military confrontations and war, and instead bring in a new era of peace and justice.
In the Chicago area, there will be a candle light vigil as hundreds of thousands of people will create a continuous wave of light all around the world.

Through the vigil, we hope to:
*Remember Hyo-Soon and Mi-Sun, two Korean schoolgirls who were killed by a U.S. armored vehicle and to call for revision of the unfair Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) between the U.S. and South Korea
*Demand that U.S. begin its diplomatic dialogue with North Korea on the issue of nuclear programs
*Show opposition to U.S. military imperialism including any attacks on Iraq
*Pledge our commitment towards peace and justice in 2003.
