Federal Plaza Anti-War Action Photo Essay

A fourteen picture of essays of the morning peace action.
This morning, December 10th, 2002 over a hundred anti-war people converged on Federal Plaza for a rally with several speakers and some singing. Some activists were out on the corners handing out flyers, getting signatures for the Iraq Peace Pledge as well as distributing booklets on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. After the not too lengthy rally, the group moved to near the entrances of the Federal building which had been blocked by at least 15 individuals as an act of civil disobediance to our government's terrorist sanctions and bombing upon the people of Iraq.
It took about 20 minutes for the Security within the Federal Building to remove the activists. The large group outside gave support in the form of singing and chanting. The rally broke apart soon after, we await to hear the outcome of the arrests.
