The Trades Union Congress (Britain's version of the AFL-CIO) launches a campaign Web site supporting the Fire Brigades Union, who are involved in a political struggle with Blair's government over their demands.

These are extraordinary times, indeed. The Trades Union Congress, Britain's national trade union centre, has launched a special campaigning website in support of the Fire Brigades Union, which just completed an 8-day strike.

The site is building support for a mass march and rally on Saturday, and can be found here:
