Over the past four decades unions attempting to organize workers at Yale University have battled an administration persistently hostile toward labor. Since the late 1960s, there have been five strikes called against Yale, one of the nation's most prestigious educational institutions. While tense negotiations between Yale and its unions are once again under way, nearly 700 labor activists and their supporters were arrested on Sept. 25, in an act of civil disobedience at the campus. Between The Lines' Scott Harris has this report.
