NYC PALESTINIAN ACTIVIST TO BE MOVED FROM PASSAIC COUNTY JAIL DAYS BEFORE PROTEST

Anti-Detainee Protest Planned for Passaic County Jail on October 12th

Early this morning Farouk called to inform us he is being moved but he doesnâ t know where he is going. Since being illegally detained on April 26th Farouk Abdel-Muhti has been held at three county jails in New Jersey. Now he fears the INS may move him out of state entirely.

Farouk said "the most important thing is that the October 12th protest go forward and that all groups work in unity". Workers Democracy Network will continue to communicate and organize with the INS detainees at Passaic for the October 12th protest. As soon as we have any more information about Farouk's whereabouts we will let you know.
