Thursday, September 26th, at 1:30 pm, join citizens in a "snort-in" against the war in Iraq! We will don fake pig snouts, and snort in protest against the amounts of money being needlessly wasted by the nation's military! The pig noises will reference the gigantic visual aides of properly scaled pig floats, being towed around the neighborhood! The pigs are labeled "Pentagon", and the like, and make very obvious the huge discrepancies between our government's spending on the Military, and other more needed goals such as Education and Health Care.

This will take place at 1:30 pm, at 2021 N Stockton Dr in Lincoln Park; the neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. TrueMajority.com and TrueMajority.org are non-profit groups and websites.

From 5:30-7:00pm, the fun protests continue at the same location, with educational games, teachings, protesting, and the like! Free Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and beverages will be provided. The goal is to increase awareness of the absurdity of a military attack against Iraq, and also to point out the other larger, long-term issue of military spending vs. educational and health care spending.

Also, the hope is to sign more people up as free members of the TrueMajority.com movement, which allows people to quickly and easily make their voices heard on many of the most pressing political issues. A quick visit to the TrueMajority.com website allows users to have a free fax sent on their behalf to the appropriate representatives in the local or national government, voicing their opinion on a particular issue!!
