Last July, trade union and anti-war activist Marty Goodman traveled to the
West Bank with the International Solidarity Movement, a Palestinian-led
movement of International activists working to raise awareness of the
struggle for Palestinian freedom and an end to Israeli occupation. While
there he documented the horrific consequences of Israelis brutal occupation
of Palestinian land. Marty will present a slide show and talk about his
experiences living and traveling in the West Bank and provide an analysis of
how to build the movement to defeat the Apartheid regime in Israel.
Speaking:
Marty Goodman is a frequent contributor to Socialist Action Newspaper, a
member of New York City Labor Against the War, Transit Workers Against the
War, and is on the Executive Board of Transit Workers Union Local 100* in
New York City.
Hakim Husien of the Palestinian Aid Society and one of the leading Chicago
area activists fighting for Palestinian rights will give opening remarks and
discuss the Palestinian struggle against occupation and apartheid.
