On Tuesday, August 13th, activists from the Northwest suburbs will hold a meeting to establish a chapter of
SUSTAIN (Stop U.S. Tax-Funded Aid To Israel Now!). The meeting will be conducted at the Palatine Public Library
(700 N. North Court--just off of the intersection of Hicks
Rd. and Northwest Highway) in meeting room #2 on the first floor. The event will begin at 7pm and conclude at 8:30pm.

Mahmud Ahmad from the Free Palestine Alliance is the invited
guest speaker. The meeting will be chaired by Kevin Clark,
former coordinator of Amnesty International Group 259 which
is based in Palatine.

Stop U.S. Tax-Funded Aid To Israel Now! (SUSTAIN) is a non-
hierarchical, grassroots organization committed to supporting and sustaining the Palestinian movement for justice, human rights and self-determination. The U.S.
government supports Israeli violations of Palestinian national and human rights militarily, economically, and
ideologically. The most tangle form of this suuport is the massive tax-funded aid that goes to Israel. We are committed
to building a campaign against U.S. military and economic aid to Israel so that U.S. tax dollars do not support the abuse of human rights. Further information on SUSTAIN and the principals of the organization can be found at: www.SUSTAINCAMPAIGN.org

If you have contacts that live in the Northwest suburbs,
please alert them to this event.
