ICCRA (Independent Chiacgo Crazies,Radicals & Anarchists) is
issuing a call for a "do it yourself" July 4th picnic from
11am until dusk at Cricket Hill (near Montrose Harbor--just
off of Montrose Avenue & Lake Shore Drive). We call upon
all Chicago progressives,lefties,radicals,fellow travelers
to join us for a day of informal chats/information sharing/
community building and fun. As John Ashcroft and his band
of paranoid storm troopers warn the nation of one terrorist
threat after another, let us gather our forces and reclaim
INDEPENDENCE DAY for ourselves.

All are welcome be they vegan or beefeater, stright or gay,
black or white, young or old, pacifist or other,kinky or
dull,female or male, etc. Members of sect groups (ISO,RCP,
WWP, etc.) will without doubt show up to preach and recruit
new blood--there's no way to stop them but we hope they leave their newspapers at home for the day.

Bring food to share, stuff to drink including cold water, music to share, loads of sun tan lotion, something for shade
and your sense of humor. Please leave anything illegal at
home-----respect your community.
