If anyone has doubted that the US does not operate under the rule of law, check out the article below that documents the refusal of a perjuring kangaroo court "judge" acting in violation of his oath of office to release on bail show trial victim Enaam Arnaout.

The "reason": Br. Enaam ... MIGHT ... POSSIBLY ... LATER ... AT SOME INDEFINITE DATE ... be charged with terrorism (for which no evidence has been presented). Now this is an interesting and novel "legal" development. Bail is supposed to be granted to all persons facing a criminal charge. The only "charge" that Br. Enaam faces is a phony charge of perjury cooked up by the FBI that even the kangaroo court he faces admits is weak and admits would not send him to prison for long even if he was convicted.

The phony perjury charge itself is the FBIs response to Br. Enaam's civil suit against the FBI in which he pointed out that Benevolence International Foundation had no connection to terrorism. The FBI has charged Br. Enaam with "perjury" for pointing out that fact as a means of intimidating him in the prosecution of Br. Enaam's civil suit against them!

Supposedly the "ethics" of lawyers prohibit them from using the filing of phony criminal charges as a means of intimidating people who file civil suits. But then, no one ever accused FBI lawyers of ethics.

So now we have a new "rule" from a kangaroo court show trial "judge" who has committed perjury by falsely swearing an oath to defend and protect the Constitution: the constitutional right to bail can be denied on the "basis" of phony "possible charges" that are not even brought.

Bail Denied for Head of Islamic Charity Accused of Having Terrorism

CHICAGO (AP) - A federal judge denied bail Tuesday to the head of an Islamic charity charged with perjury for denying government claims that his group supports terrorism or military activity.

Enaam Arnaout, 40, head of Benevolence International Foundation, will remain in federal custody pending further action in his case, U.S. District Judge Joan Gottschall said.

The judge acknowledged that evidence of possible links to terrorism is fragmentary. But she said that while the perjury charge would not send Arnaout to prison for long, the government has said it might bring terrorism charges requiring a sentence of more than 20 years.

The government raided Benevolence's suburban Palos Hills offices on Dec. 14.

The judge noted that Arnaout has American and Bosnian citizenship and families in both countries. It is the second time he has been denied bail.

Separately, the jailed chairman of another Islamic charity was moved last week from Chicago to an Immigration and Naturalization Service detention center in Michigan, an attorney said Tuesday.

Rabih Haddad, 41, is a co-founder of the Global Relief Foundation, which prosecutors say is suspected of ties to Osama bin Laden's terrorist network.

Global Relief denies terrorist links.

Haddad was arrested Dec. 14 at in Ann Arbor, Mich., on an immigration violation. The same day, the Treasury Department froze the bank accounts of both Benevolence and Global Relief.
