
Ann Coulter, right-wing pundit and author
notorious for racist, reactionary and recidivist comments and
quotes, faced hundreds of people who turned out in protest on the campus of Chicago's Loyola University on March 23, 2006, where Coulter was slated to give a speech. Three people were arrested at the Coulter protest, including one individual who was assaulted by police according to eyewitnesses.
Students subsequently entered the lecture, and the first arrest apparently occurred when law enforcement collared one individual for chanting. During Coulter's question and answer session the crowd chanted her down, and she fled the stage.
