Chicago Indymedia, Chicago Media Action, and Redline Radio are sponsoring and organizing "We the Media," a Fourth of July celebration for makers and supporters of independent media. The event takes place from 4pm to midnight on Friday, July 4th, at buddy, 1542 N. Milwaukee St. in Chicago's Wicker Park. (Buddy is near the Damen stop on the CTA Blue Line.)

The event is a unique combination of party and participatory multimedia extravaganza. Buddy's second-floor indoor and rooftop spaces will see a combination of eating and drinking, local bands, locally produced films, and the creation of a mural. Photo Galleries: [ 1 ]
