As the Bush administration teeters on the brink of a full-scale war in the Middle East, more and more Americans are seeking honest information about the conflict in Palestine -- a conflict that continues to profoundly shape U.S. policy in the region. On Wednesday, September 18, the Open University of the Left will kick off its free fall series of
educational forums on the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict by screening "Tragedy in the Holy Land", a powerful new documentary by Chicago filmmaker Denis Mueller. The film features interviews with Edward Said, Noam Chomsky, Rashid Khalidi, Elsah Habash, Ali Abunimah, Steven Feuerstein and others, and explores the colonial roots of one of the world's most misreported and misunderstood conflicts.
