HOUSING: Protesters Hit Household International Executives' Homes

That's Household International board member John Nichols (photo, left) greeting ACORN members at the door of his Winnetka home on Sunday, June 30 -- the day that 2,000 ACORN members from across the country gathered at Household headquarters and at the suburban homes of the company's CEO and other board members to protest Household's predatory lending practices. ACORN filed a class action lawsuit earlier this spring that accused Household of engaging in a wide range of deceptive and abusive lending practices -- and many victims of the company's unethical grifting came to Sunday's protest.
