Justice Dept. Plans to Investigate Chicago Police After Laquan McDonald Case

As widely expected, the Department of Justice is about to announce "a far-ranging investigation into the patterns and practices of the Chicago Police Department". Meanwhile, more protests over the Laquan McDonald case enveloped downtown Chicago, extending from City Hall to the Thompson Center. UPDATE: Corporate media are reporting that the head of the "Independent" Police Review Authority has resigned.
