Crime Busting March on Chicago’s Climate Crooks!

Contact: Angie V. rtc@lists.risingtideworldwide.net

When: 1:30pm directly after the Nurses Union March

Where: Daley Plaza (Clark & Washington)

March around the loop with us as we issue warrants for arrest for corporations and government organizations responsible for destabilizing our climate.

While the City of Chicago and the Chicago Police Department are busy rolling out the red carpet for the NATO Delegation through the erosion of civil liberties for their fellow Chicagoans and blocking access to OUR city, it is no surprise they have failed to see there are serious climate criminals a foot. Right under their noses!

WE, the environmental community are appalled and will not stand by as pro-TAR SAND, pro-COAL, pro-OIL, and pro-NUCLEAR corporations and governmental organization call this city home. It is time they received a warning that the people of Chicago do not approve of their PROFITS WHICH POISION OUR water, land, air and community.

Join us and take action today because there is NO PLANET B. Let’s create communities that are fair and provide access to basics needs for everyone rather than our current throwaway society that benefits the 1% and destroys our planet.

Climate Action Chicago

War & Climate Change

Take action NOW against
Chicago's Climate and War Criminals. Why?
BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLANET B!

Are you alarmed by the growing power of corporations and our colluding governments that frack our land, contaminate our food with GMOs, pollute our air and soil, alter our atmosphere and ecosystems beyond repair, radiate our fellow humans, plants and animals, and then spend billions on militaries to find current and future resource wars?

Join us NATO summit weekend to give corporate criminals, and the government lackeys and militaries who server their interests a clear message: putting profits over our plant threatens our survival and will NOT be accepted any longer!

This May we'll call for real solutions to climate change and war by encouraging local communities to come together and restore natural ecosystems, and create clean power, transportation and local food systems.

Let's create communities that provide access to basic needs for everyone rather than our current throwaway society that benefits the 1% and destroys our planet.

Past 350.org Events in Chicago

September 24th, 2011

On September 24th, 2011, hundreds of Chicagoans gathered for Roll Beyond Coal in Dvorak Park across from Fisk power plant. Many arrived via a bike caravan from Daley plaza. In the park you could find rollers creating photo petitions, learning how to get more involved and gasping in disbelief at the still operating Fisk power plant.

Soon the group rolled out for a march through the Pilsen neighborhood followed by moving speeches by local and international leaders.

October 24th, 2009

On October 24th, 2009, the first 350 International Day of Climate Action, hundreds rallied and marched to protest the pollution from the coal fired Fisk and Crawford power plants.

The rally began on May St., just west of Dvorak Park in the shadow of the Fisk Plant. Hundreds marched and eight activists locked arms and sat down in front of the power plant.
