Why Progressives Oppose The Nomination Of Kamala Harris As President

Senator Kamala Harris Democrat from California has announced she is running for president. Here are some reasons to oppose her nomination.
NETANYAHU
Senator Kamala Harris is running for president and has had 2 secret meetings with AIPAC (US based pro Netanyahu lobby group).
She also twice addressed an AIPAC convention. She has broken Bernie Sanders' record for contributions in 1 day. She has received
money from many supporters of Netanyahu violence. Harris' candidacy is being pushed by corporate media anchors who support Netanyahu.
Netanyahu, Sharon and other Israeli leaders have through pawns in the US sent American soldiers into harm's way in illegal
immoral wars in which the Israeli government wishes to hide its involvement, wars in which Iraqis, Afghanis were treated by the Pentagon in the way Netanyahu treats Palestine, denying water, electricity, and herding Palestinians into de facto concentration camps.
DEATH PENALTY HYPOCRISY
Despite her stated opposition to the death penalty, Harris as California's attorney general never challenged the death penalty but worked to keep it. When a federal judge as had the US Supreme Court in the past ruled California’s enforcement of the death penalty unconstitutional, Harris appealed. She described the decision as flawed and in federal courts continued to support it. In doing this she was in opposition to the 2016 platform of the Democratic Party and of abolitionists around the world representing 3/4 of the world's countries and 84% of US states. As AG she told voters she acted on her promise to enforce capital punishment. HARSH SENTENCING

CORRUPTION RE STEVE MNUCHIN
Harris did not prosecute current Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin who as head of bankster OneWest had illegally and unethically evicted tens of thousands of widows and widowers with reverse mortgages, mortages touted to be secure for life. Trump who nominated him also had tens of thousands of evictions in his real estate enterprises. The Justice Dept. had said her actions were suggestive of widespread misconduct (in a leaked memo)
In 2016, Mnuchin donated $2,000 to Harris's campaign She was the only Democratic Sena,te candidate to receive money from Mnuchin.

FAILURE TO REDUCE PRISON OVERCROWDING
Haris did not comply with a court's order to reduce prison overcrowding, and was told to implement a new parole programs
VIOLATION OF PRISONER RIGHTS
After California failed to fully implement the court's order to reduce crowding, and was ordered to implement new parole programs, she appealed the decision, and in court filings her office argued that if forced to release these inmates early, prisons would lose an important source of labor. In other words she advocated keeping prisoners in jail to be a cheap source of labor for the state.

Delays in confiscating guns from dangerous Californians
In 2013 a state auditor's report criticized the state Department of Justice overseen by Harris for delays in decisions on gun ownership by potentially dangerous people, illegal according to state law.
The auditor later again criticized Harris and her staff for failure to enact many of the recommendations auditors had made to reduce the backlog, posing a "continued risk to public safety."
