Parents and Advocates Unite in National Battle at Cook County Juvenile Court
to Free Kansas City,MO Resident Isaiah Rider from Illinois DCFS

CHICAGO – In a custody case that has received national attention and mimics the controversial Justina Pelletier travesty, parents and advocates will protest at Cook County Juvenile Court from 9-11AM to free 16 Y.O. Neurofibromatosis (NF)patient Isaiah Rider from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

"When Lurie Children's Hospital doctors admitted to Isaiah's mother Michelle Rider, a hospice nurse, that they could not manage her son's pain, she requested a transfer to another hospital," said Nancy Rubenstein Del Giudice of the Law Project for Psychiatric Rights. "In response, she was charged with Child Medical Abuse. and Isaiah, whose home is in Kansas City, Missouri, was placed in foster care in Chicago's South Side. These false Child Medical Abuse allegations against good families like the Riders and Pelletiers are becoming endemic and we are asking people to support us in defense of the rights of parents and children."
