Coalition Demands Special Prosecutor for Police Torture

A coalition of groups including Amnesty International are demanding a federal special prosecutor investigate and ultimately prosecute the cops involved in systematic racist torture at Area Two and Three. Most cops are still on the force or are collecting pensions.

The Teamsters and Carpenters unions are fighting for union recognition at Seigle's Home and Building Center in Pilsen. The company employs mostly Latino immigrants and day labor, paying about $10 an hour below union scale for the work they do.
