We have two important updates for you.

The first is regarding 4pm talks between the different sides, which also included politicians that butted their way into the affair. Just a half hour into the talks, MarketWatch published press releases from both Bank of America and Republic Windows and Doors, in which each expressed their sympathy for the workers (yeah fucking right) and putted the finger at the other company.

Many had expected the tremendous show of support, from the radical left and other unions to all levels of government up to the president-elect to even the capitalist news media, would have been enough to guarantee a quick victory. Others said not to count the chickens before they're hatched. The meeting ended without a resolution, but with a second meeting scheduled for Tuesday. The occupation will continue at least one more day.

Meanwhile, both the Chicago Tribune and ChiTownDailyNews.org have reported that Republic Windows chief Richard Gillman's wife had recently taken over Echo Windows and a window factory in Iowa. This is exactly as many of the Republic workers had suspected. They had said they believed the company wasn't going out of operation, but simply moving to Iowa to escape a strong union. The Tribune actually did decent reporting that clearly proved Republic was lying all along and had that exact scheme in mind.
