The Death of Free Speech at the Chicago Air and Water Show — A half-million people crowd Chicago's beachfront every August for the Chicago Air and Water Show. The 2008 Chicago Air and Water Show also saw a protest for peace and a peculiar counter-response involving a so-called “free speech zone”.

Chicago says “No War on Iran” — The U.S. government has been sending strong hints about a possible U.S. bombing of Iran. Activists took the streets of downtown Chicago in early August 2008 to send a strong message for peace in response.

Taste of Chicago Counter-Recruitment Protest – In this segment produced by the Chicago-based weekly labor TV show, Labor Beat, we'll join with activists involved with counter-recruitment efforts at the annual Taste of Chicago celebration in July 2008.

Re-enact ’68 – 2008 marks the 40th anniversary of the famous Chicago protests against the 1968 Democratic National Convention. A coalition effort called "Re-enact '68" sought to create a reenactment of those actions, as we see in this music video.
